The College Sports Communicators organization announced its list of Academic All-District baseball student-athletes on Tuesday, May 17, including four Penn State Altoona student-athletes.

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. Penn State Altoona freshmen outside hitters Philip Silva (Brazil/Richard Montgomery) and Jared Bodisch (Red Lion, PA/Red Lion) were each selected to the second team of the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference squad, which was announced on Tuesday, April 13.
Silva and Bodisch each had strong first years with the Penn State Altoona men’s volleyball team.
Silva played in all nine matches for the Lions volleyball team this spring, appearing in a total of 32 sets. Among all AMCC players, he finished the season third in kills per set (3.44), fourth in solo blocks (7), fifth in points per set (3.8), eighth in total kills (110), total attacks (253), and hitting percentage (.233), ninth in total blocks (14), blocks per set (0.44), and total points (120.5), and 21st in block assists (7).
