Residents of Zamfara State in Northwest Nigeria have raised the alarm over the persisting violence in the state with prevailing cases of bandit attacks, kidnappings and killings of the people. Some of the residents condemned the state governor, Dauda Lawal for attending social functions like weddings and partying while residents were being killed. One of the residents of the state, Aliyu Mai Kakee, told SaharaReporters that the people of the state were living in fear as a result of frequent deadly attacks.
