A FUNDRAISER by The Glasgow Hospitals Christmas Concert Committee for children s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent, has raised more than £9000. The Committee was unable to stage their annual Christmas concert for the charity, which normally brings in around £25,000, due to coronavirus restrictions. Despite the cancellation of the 2020 edition of the event, The Glasgow Hospitals Christmas Concert Committee has raised £9229 through events such as a Christmas appeal video and the selling of virtual Christmas trees. Ken Thomson, chair of the committee said: “I’m delighted to say our fundraising was a great success and I want to thank all the Glasgow Hospitals’ Christmas Concert choir members who got behind our efforts, and were so generous with their donations as well as getting their families and friends involved too.
