Over 200 Vanderbilt students and community members marched from Centennial Park to Wyatt Center on May 1. The ralliers called for Palestinian liberation and expressed support for Vanderbilt’s Palestine Solidarity Encampment, which began five weeks ago in support of student protesters issued interim suspensions but has since become part of the broader pro-Palestine encampment movement.
A record number of students attended to develop their ideas for making campus more sustainable by pulling together plans for budget, timeline and impact in under an hour.
Vanderbilt Students for Justice in Palestine, along with local advocacy groups the Palestine Hurra Collective and Clarksville for Palestine, hosted a protest and march on West End Ave.
After his reinstatement, Jones marched from the Historic Metro Courthouse to the Tennessee State Capitol; MFOL student activists are similarly holding a rally in support of Pearson tomorrow.
