New age group invited for vaccine as figures show progress in region

Pixabay PEOPLE aged between 56 and 59 in the West Midlands have been called on to book their Covid-19 vaccination this week. NHS chiefs made the plea after more than eight in 10 people aged 65 to 69 took up the offer of a jab across England. They have now sent out a new batch of letters inviting people to be vaccinated and have called on people across the region to come forward as the vaccine roll-out continues to gather pace . Alison Tonge, regional director of commissioning at NHS England and NHS Improvement in the Midlands, said: We are now inviting people aged 56 to 59 to get their jabs and I urge everyone eligible to come forward as soon as possible.
