On top of the notification policy, the bill expands the definition of bullying to include “physical appearance, socioeconomic status, academic status, pregnancy, parenting status and homelessness.”
House Bill 3425 particularly targets cyberbullying, requiring that schools “make diligent efforts” to notify the parents of a bullying incident within 24 hours.
