Mitie Group PLC - Glasgow-based facilities management - Appoints Alan Lovell as non-executive director, starting January 1. Lovell is chair of Interserve Group Ltd, the former London listing that fell into administration in 2019. In June, Mitie agreed to buy Interserve s facilities management division for GBP271 million, a price later reduced to GBP190 million. Alan s knowledge of Interserve Facilities Management s business, the acquisition of which we completed on 30th November, will be invaluable, says Mitie Chair Derek Mapp. Lovell also was part of the team that tried to restructure failed construction and outsourcing firm Carillion.
