More arts, more inspiration and more hope are on the menu for students at the Taos Integrated School for the Arts as a new partnership with Oklahoma State University’s Doel Reed Center has begun. The first event for TISA students was held at the Doel Reed Center in June.
Haney stepping down as middle school principal

photo provided Sisters School District will have two new building principals for the 2021-22 year, now that Sisters Middle School Principal Alison Haney announced her resignation after three years in the position.
Her departure follows in the heels of the announcement of Sisters High School Principal Joe Hosang taking on a new role at the district office.
Haney is expecting her first child in early June and has decided to put her focus on her family.

She is grateful to have had all of the grades in school the past month.
The preschool expects to be up to 12 students by the end of January and has a maximum capacity of 18. Warburg acknowledged the hard work and sacrifice all of her staff have undertaken to keep the elementary school open for in-person learning. Nominations open for teacher award

In a recent press release the Oregon Department of Education, along with the Oregon Lottery, announced that nominations for the Oregon Regional Teacher of the Year are open through January 31, 2021.
Recognizing the strength of the teaching staff in the Sisters School District, administrators Curt Scholl, Joe Hosang, Alison Haney, and Joan Warburg all encourage local parents and students to consider making a nomination.
