Fort Lewis College had nowhere else to look other than its free-throw shooting in a double overtime loss Saturday in Colorado Springs.
The FLC women’s basketball team eliminated a 60-53 deficit against University of Colorado at Colorado Springs late in the fourth quarter behind 3-pointers from Chloe Warrington and Bailey Osmer. Both teams had a chance at the winning basket with the game tied 64-64 in the final minute, but both teams turned it over when given their opportunity.

The Fort Lewis College women’s basketball team had one of the league’s best teams tied 70-70 with one minute to go inside FLC’s home gym in Durango. The visitors made the winning plays when they mattered most.
After FLC senior guard Katrina Chandler made two free throws to tie the game, Westminster College senior point guard Mariah Martin sliced through the Skyhawks’ defense and finished a right-handed layup to give the Griffins a lead they would not relinquish.

Well-rounded scoring found the Fort Lewis College women’s basketball team when it needed it most.
With star sophomore forward Jordan Vasquez in foul trouble all night and limited to four points and two rebounds in 18 minutes of action, the Skyhawks received scoring contributions from eight other players in a 57-52 road win Friday night at Colorado State University-Pueblo.

Late offensive rebounds gave the Regis Rangers a chance to erase a 60-55 deficit. The player the Skyhawks didn’t want to see with a chance to take the final shot gave herself an opportunity to send Monday’s game to overtime.
