In the summer of 2020, Crista Scott Tappan, Alison Cebulla, Christy Teranishi Martinez, Jody Sanborn, Gina Lucrezi, and other female trail and ultrarunners formed the Runners Equity Alliance (REA) to build a safer, more equitable running space.
