A half-dozen students spoke against a proposed revision to the Canyon School District’s policies on how library books are acquired, challenged and taken out of circulation. The revisions were prompted by an email from a woman who asked district officials to review YouTube videos criticizing nine books, including classics like "Lolita," by Vladimir Nabokov, and "The Bluest Eye," by Toni Morrison.
Students, parents, teachers and librarians spoke both for and against the Canyon School District s recent decision to remove certain books from some of the district s high school libraries.
