Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) on Thursday said it will introduce Vistadome tourist special trains on two popular routes - Guwahati-New Haflong in Assam and New Jalpaiguri-Alipurduar Junction in West Bengal from Saturday.

DIMAPUR: On a welcoming note, North East Frontier Railway (NFR) carried out its first-ever trial run of the train engine along the Dhansiri-Shukovi (Dimapur-Zubza) railway track.
In a tweet, PHE minister Jacob Zhimomi welcomed the development, saying The first train arrived in Dhansiripar railway station from Dhansiri, Assam (February 16, 2021) at 3 p.m. Dimapur district. Welcome to Nagaland!.

Northeast Frontier Railway to Resume Normal Train Services from February 22
Kishan Rail Special Train between Tarakeswar and Dimapur has been introduced by the Northeast Frontier Railway which will run on a weekly basis.
GUWAHATI: The Northeast Frontier (NFR) railway has decided to resume normal passenger train operations from February 22.
As per a press release, train operating from between Assam s Dhubri to Bengal s Siliguri will commence from February 22.
Meanwhile, one pair of DEMU Special trains will run daily between Dhubri to Siliguri Jn. while another Mail Express will be run tri-weekly between the Bengal s Alipurdwar Jn to Assam s Silighat Jn.via Dhubri, Fakiragram, New Bongaigaon, Goalpara and Guwahati.
N. F. Railway to run intercity and short-distance special trains
Accelerating the gradual re-introduction of passenger carrying trains, N. F. Railway has decided to introduce two Intercity Express Special trains and five short-distance passenger special trains in a phased manner from next week.
