KCB celebrates Align Life Ministries this Saturday!
Celebrate Jesus and life with Align Life Ministries! Attend their grand celebration party at The Junction Center on Saturday, May 8th. A free Kids’ Zone and Kids’ Stage (with Marian and Friends) will be open, and there will be food, fun, and games galore! For this who wish to participate in the “walk, run, plus” part virtually but would still like to attend the May 8th grand celebration event at The Junction Center in person, please come! All are welcome!
7:30am – On-site Registration Opens for Walk/Run
8:00am – Kids’ Zones Open (until noon)
The other finalist for this year’s award was Sara-Ann Rosen.
Elizabeth Ribarsky of Springfield, associate professor of communication at UIS, was honored with the Star Staff Award.
Ribarsky has chaired the annual Illinois Humane Trivia Night and in two years, she raised an additional $25,000 for the organization with this event.
Reagan Weichold of Chatham was honored with the Youth Volunteer Award. She was nominated by the Animal Protective League.
Weichold is a mentor for the APL’s Junior Volunteer Program.
Other finalists included Tyler Lancaster and Audrey Lupton.
Twenty volunteers were also honored with the Heart of Gold Award. Individual recipients were: Dennis Ahlberg, Anne Anderson, Stacey Austin, Jim Barr, Sandy Bellatti, Sally Cadagin, Becky Gabany, Paula Harris, Dorothy Hart, William G. Holland, DeeDee McCarty, Allison Montney, Traci Moore, Kristie Parkins, Megan Philpot, Renate Selby, Teressa Shelton, Kate Ward and Laura Winkelmann.

From now through May 8
th, ask people to support the work of Align Life Ministries by sponsoring you in this year’s Move for Life.
Then, put your sneakers on and join Align on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at The Junction Center in Manheim at 9:00am for a 5K run or a 1 mile walk, followed by a fantastic celebration party at 10:00 am on the Junction Center ground including free food and Kids’ Zones!
