put out there in the open and that changes his calculus. meaning, illicit says pushed to a more radical level of violence. because they think that the game is up. oftentimes, law enforcement does a good job of playing in the middle. essentially, they put out those photos earlier and say if you ve seen this person, that leads to reports coming in. which doesn t necessarily alert law enforcement. or alert the subject to the fact that they re being hunted. once you put that name out there, it changes the dynamic. what we ve seen time and again, alicia, is when a name goes out what happens on social media as another story. a lot of conspiracies, false positives, you might remember back to the boston bombing, where we had just dozens if not hundreds of false leads that were put out there. they re trying to manage the way they go about identifying the subject. and they want to get all the tips, leads they can. and they don t want to send it into false positives. and change the suspect.
