Pleasant Valley School District superintendent Lee Lesisko announced his retirement after only one year on the job, amid a wave of resignations and retirements fueled in part by conversations of staff furloughs and other cuts.
Lesisko was hired as Superintendent of PVSD in April of 2020 and announced his retirement just over a year later on June 10, leaving behind two years left on his contract and a starting salary of $155,000.
Lesisko brought 16 years of service with the district, having served as Director of Technology and lead administrator for the Pleasant Valley Cyber Academy.
He faced his first year as superintendent at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. His contract was set to expire June 30, 2023.
