Often times I will share with someone celebrating another birthday, “Like a fine wine, you’re getting better with age!”
My brother Dave observes his on Jan. 4 and joins my twin sister Jan and me for a few days until we commemorate ours on Feb. 10. Then, we join my sister Pam for a few days until she moves ahead on March 12, leading the charge in becoming once again, the “older” sibling.
Brother made a comment on his birthday as we group texted back and forth, “Wisdom comes with age and you three go first.”
As I contemplated that statement, I chuckled a bit about the thought of becoming wise but maybe there is something to be gained with this dance of days as the years roll on.
