GRAFTON Cruises on the Spirit of Peoria paddlewheel riverboat are set to resume May 27.
The Great Rivers & Routes Tourism Bureau has partnered with the Spirit of Peoria to offer sightseeing, lunch and dinner cruises aboard the replica paddlewheel riverboat on the Mississippi and Illinois rivers July 14 through Oct. 6.
The Spirit of Peoria, built in 1988, is 160 feet long and four stories tall. It has no props or thrusters and is powered by twin Caterpillar 3412 diesel gensets. The boat averages a speed of 7-10 mph and can carry up to 385 passengers.
