Access to COVID-19 vaccine in Hamilton County and across the Cincinnati region is widening from appointment-only to walk-ins-welcome, and officials said Wednesday they hope the convenience will spur acceptance nearly four months into the campaign.
In contrast to the early weeks of scarcity, vaccine quantity and availability are rapidly growing, said county Commissioner Denise Driehaus. “Everyone in Hamilton County now lives within a 10-minute drive of a vaccination site, on the weekend, during the week, in the morning, in the evening, with an appointment, without an appointment.”
The city of Cincinnati also is widening distributions to walk-in this coming weekend including at a clinic at Paul Brown Stadium, said Marla Fuller, spokeswoman for the city health department. The hours were scheduled for 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Fuller said in an email.
