UAE sends plane carrying 50 metric tons of food supplies to Senegal
ABU DHABI, 7th May, 2021 (WAM) The UAE today sent a plane carrying 50 metric tons of food supplies to Senegal as part of its initiatives during the holy month of Ramadan.
Sultan Ali Al Harbi, UAE Ambassador to Senegal, said: The UAE and Senegal are linked by distinguished bilateral relations, based on the principle of friendship, solidarity and common interest, noting that the plane sent today reflects these relations and the UAE’s keenness to assist families in need during this holy month.
He added, Communication and coordination between the UAE and Senegal continue on all levels. This is due to the significant consensus between the two countries in terms of values and positions, and that the arrival of the plane today is an additional sign of the fruitful cooperation and the growing partnership between the two countries.

This plane is part of the tireless efforts of the UAE and its wise leadership to demonstrate solidarity during this holy moth. On May 10, 2020, the UAE sent a plane carrying 7 metric tons of medical supplies to Sierra Leone to help 7,000 medical professionals in curbing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, He added.

UAE sends food aid shipment to Gambia
ABU DHABI, 8th April, 2021 (WAM) The United Arab Emirates today sent an aid plane containing 67 metric tons of various foodstuffs to Gambia to strengthen the government’s efforts to meet the basic food needs of a large segment of the population in the wake of the socioeconomic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sultan Ali Al-Harbi, Non-Resident Ambassador of the UAE to Gambia, underscored that the UAE constantly seeks to extend humanitarian assistance to all African countries in critical circumstances by harnessing its capabilities to help people in need based on the UAE’s noble humanitarian values and with the support of its wise leadership.
