Damongo: Basic School Teacher donates school uniforms to pupils

A teacher at the Almara E/A Basic School based in Damongo in the Savannah Region has made a personal donation of school uniforms to some 11 brilliant but needy students of the school that he teaches in the Damongo municipality.
The teacher, Mr. Yussif Jalilu John is a businessman and also the executive director for Hope 4 The Hopeless Foundation, non profit making organization based in Damongo that is into changing the lives of the needy especially in the Savannah Region.
Mr Jalil in an exclusive interview with Bole based Nkilgi FM said he feels very sad as a teacher seeing some of his pupils drop out of school as a result of lack of school uniforms.
The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) has given the assurance it will comply with all government directives to control the spread of new infections of the deadly COVID-19.
Alhaji Nasiru Yussif, the Bono East Regional Secretary to the GPRTU, emphasized the union would ensure that Veronica Buckets with water and soaps, hand sanitizers and nose masks and face shields were provided at all lorry stations and bus terminals in the country.
Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Techiman, Alhaji Yussif indicated the union had resolved to re-enforce health safety protocols saying all travellers would be forced to wash their hands and wear their nose masks before they boarded vehicles.

Speaking as the special guest of honour at this years Vagla Students and Associates (VASA) Congress at Balpe in Bole on 30th December 2020 under the theme; “Sustaining the Vagla Language and our Cultural Heritage; The Role of the Vagla Students”, Alhaji Yussif Sulemana said; “We live in an era where one culture, our heritage is being extinct not only in the Vagla fraternity or the Gonja fraternity but across the globe, hence the theme was timely”.
