DAILY POST reports that the incident happened few months after a chieftain of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria(IPMAN), Alhaji Suleiman Akinbami, was kidnapped by unknown gunmen at his filling station along Ado-Ijan road.
It was gathered that gunmen numbering eight had invaded the petrol station around 7pm on Thursday and abducted the victim.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti Command, ASP Sunday Abutu, who confirmed the incident, said a team of police operatives and detectives, including the Amotekun Corps and the local Hunters have been deployed to rescue the victim.

Ado Ekiti, April 9, 2021 The police command in Ekiti says a petrol dealer, Mr Adebayo Itakorode, has been abducted by gunmen at Isan Ekiti in Oye Local Government of the state.
The command Spokesman, ASP Sunday Abutu told newsmen on Friday in Ado Ekiti that Itakorode was abducted on Thursday night.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Itakorode’s abduction is coming few weeks after another petrol dealer, Alhaji Suleiman Akinbami was kidnapped by gunmen in Ado Ekiti.
Akinbami is a chieftain of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN).
Akinbami was released somewhere in Kogi after paying an undisclosed ransom.

The 18 Kantim Kwari traders from Kano State, who were abducted on their way to Aba, Abia State, have regained their freedom.
The traders were kidnapped on Sunday, January 10, 2021, in Auchi, Edo State, on their way to Aba to buy textile materials.
The President, Arewa Youth Traders Association of Nigeria, Alhaji Abubakar Babawo, confirmed the release of the traders in a telephone interview with
PUNCH Metro in Kano on Sunday.
He said the traders were released by their kidnappers on Saturday.
Babawo stated that the traders were on their way to Kano as they spent Saturday night in Kaduna.
