Chairman, Kwara North Stakeholders Consultative Forum, Alhaji Abdullahi Aliyu Lade, has said there is no going back on the quest of the region to produce the next governor of the state.
Speaking with journalists in Ilorin after a peace meeting with the leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara Central senatorial, Lade said the people of Kwara North have paid their dues and should be allowed to lead the state.
He said already consultations have already commenced with politicians across all divides to achieve the goal.
Lade, who insisted on equity, justice and fairness noted that north is pleading for understanding from the two other senatorial districts to produce the next governor.

Alhaji Oba Ajara, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kwara State, has said that the party was responsible for the woeful defeat it recorded in the 2019 elections in the State.
Recall that the All Progressives Congress, APC, swept the polls in all the 2019 elections, recording a landslide victory in the National Assembly, State Assembly and the governorship elections in the State.
In an interview with newsmen in Ilorin, Ajara, a former aide of late premier of Northern Nigeria, Sir Ahmadu Bello, said, “We have learnt our lessons and we shall bounce back in the 2023 elections in the State.”
