Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State has revealed that former Lagos State Governor, Alhaji Lateef Jakande, will be long remembered for his legacies and impacts.
DAILY POST reports that Jakande died on Thursday morning in Lagos State at the age of 91 and his death was disclosed by the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide-Sanwo-Olu.
Oyetola, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, on Thursday in Osogbo also commiserated with the entire Jakande’s family and friends.
The governor said that Jakande was a professional and a respected journalist, a progressive politician, a distinguished public servant and an outstanding leader, who demonstrated strong concerns and commitments to the welfare of the people he served as governor.
