Some prominent stakeholders from Ibarapaland in Oyo State have declared readiness to support measures aimed at halting the incessant security challenges ravaging the area.
They gave the suggestions on Wednesday in Ibadan in separate interviews with newsmen.
Newsmen report that the Ibarapa Zone of the state consists seven towns namely Igboora, Eruwa, Idere, Igangan, Ayete, Tapa and Lanlate.
The seven towns had in recent times witnessed alarming rate of insecurity ranging from killings, rape, kidnap and farmland destructions suspected to be carried out by cattle herders.
Newsmen report that the situation had led to the issuance of quit notices by the host communities to herders who were alleged to be the culprits.

SUNDAY IGBOHO: The making of a freedom fighter
On
By Clifford Ndujihe, Political Editor
UNTIL Friday, January 15, 2021, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, was arguably an unknown entity outside the South-West zone of Nigeria. Even in the South-West, his popularity was not widespread.
However, all that changed on January 15. No thanks to the recurring herdsmen menace in many parts of the country especially the South-West, Middle-Belt, South-South, and South-East that has left sad and teary tales on the lips of victims.
On that historic January 15, Sunday Igboho and his supporters took the battle to end the ‘Fulani’ herdsmen crisis on their shoulders, thus adding their names to the January 15 stories.
His two wives live in two different parts of the globe – Germany and Canada – while he has three professional footballers playing in Germany as children.
On different occasions, Sunday Adeyemo had reportedly used guns to fight his enemies. This is said to be something he inherited from his grandfather.
Sunday Igboho is allegedly harbouring thugs in his Ibadan residence, using them to grab lands from their owners across the Southwest states.
Igboho went through the tutelage of Chief Lamidi Adedibu, the strongman of Ibadan politics.
He was one of his most reliable and trusted thugs.
At a point in their relationship, Adedibu began to suspect he was getting too powerful and independent.

The Federal Government, yesterday, received several knocks for the swift manner with which it responds to issues affecting Hausa/Fulani while a similar disposition is not shown towards worries and challenges faced by the majority of Nigerians. x
The critics are particularly disturbed by the government’s taciturnity and alleged partisan disposition since allegations of criminal activities, including the destruction of farmlands were levelled against herdsmen operating from forest reserves in Oyo and Ondo states emerged.

A frontline Fulani cattle rearer group in the country, Miyetti Allah, on Saturday urged both the federal and the Oyo State governments to effect the arrest of Chief Sunday Adeyemo, a.k.a Igboho, for the eviction of the Seriki Fulani of Oyo State, Alhaji Saliu Abdulkadir.
The state Chairman of Miyetti Allah, Alhaji Ibrahim Jiji, made the call during an interview with journalists in Ibadan, the state capital on Saturday, saying that the asualted Seriki Fulani must get justice.
He said many of his members in the state are living in fear while others had fled their homes for safety. He urged Yoruba and Fulani residents to allow peace to reign in the state, saying, “We are all Nigerians. We must learn how to live in peace.”
