Suspected terrorists have killed the Chief Imam of Nomadic Central Mosque at Rugan Ardo, Isyaka Adamu and a son of a Fulani chief and abducted 14 others in the Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State. This was confirmed by a resident of the community identified as Shehu Ibrahim, who said that the terrorists raided Janjala community and abducted eight people before proceeding to Rugan Ardo, a few kilometres away and abducting six people after killing one of the sons of the Ardo, Alhaji Husaini Ardo.

Gunmen have reportedly invaded a Sharia Court in Bauren Zakat village in Safana Local Government Area of Katsina State and kidnapped a judge identified as Alhaji Husaini Sama’ila.
The incident occurred at about 3pm on Tuesday, according to a report in Daily Post.
It was, however, unclear why the judge was in court amid the industrial action embarked upon by the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN).
Recall that JUSUN embarked on an indefinite strike on April 6 demanding the financial autonomy of the judiciary.
When contacted on phone, the Kastina State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Gambo Isah, confirmed the incident.

The security situation in the country took a toll on the judiciary on Tuesday afternoon, 8 May, when gunmen invaded a Sharia Court in Bauren Zakat village in Safana Local Government Area of Katsina State and kidnapped a judge identified as Alhaji Husaini Sama’ila.
Report of the judge’s kidnap was confirmed by the Katsina sate police public relations officer, SP Gambo Isah.
Isah expressed surprise the judge could be in court amidst the industrial action by the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN).
JUSUN members on Tuesday, April 6 embarked on an indefinite strike demanding the financial autonomy of the judiciary.

When contacted by DAILY POST correspondent on phone, the Kastina State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Gambo Isah, confirmed the incident.
He, however, expressed shock on the assignment that took the judge to the court citing the strike action by JUSUN.
The PPRO said the court had been relocated from the area to Safana due to security issues, stating that he must have been there for a personal issue.

According to Daily Trust, the attackers broke into the court around 3pm on Tuesday and abducted the judge, identified as Alhaji Husaini Sama’ila.
The court was said to be relocated to Safana due to security reasons.
It is not clear why Sama’ila was in court during the industrial action embarked upon by the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN.
On April 6 JUSUN had embarked on a strike, demanding compliance with the provisions of sections 81(3), 121(3) and 162(9) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) on financial autonomy of the judicial arm at the state level.
