Gov Matawalle sacks Zamfara SSG, 23 commissioners, others

Daily Post Nigeria Published Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle on Tuesday announced the sack of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Bala Bello, and all 23 commissioners. Matawalle announced the decision in a statement issued and signed by his Special Adviser, Public Enlightenment on Media and Communications, Malam Zailani Bappa. He also approved the sack of his Chief of Staff, Col. Bala Mande (rtd) and the Deputy Chief of Staff, Dr Bashir Maru, and the removal of all Chairmen and members of the state commissions and boards of various agencies. Matawalle, who ordered the sacked commissioners to hand-over affairs of their ministries to their respective permanent secretaries, said the decision is with immediate effect.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Bala Bello, and made available to newsmen in Gusau on Thursday. “In accordance with restructuring excercise, His Excellency has relieved all Special Advisers of their appointments. Similarly all the Directors-General are hereby dropped to enable for proper reorganisation of the existing directorates. “Accordingly, both the Special Advisers and the Directors General are hereby directed to hand over the affairs of their organisations to the accounting officers, or the Directors of Administration of their respective directorates, as the case may be,” the statement reads in part.
