The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday sacked its Bauchi State chairman, Babayo Misau, over alleged leadership failure and named his replacement. Misau’s sack was made known by the party’s Legal Adviser, Rabi’u Garba, while briefing journalists at the end of an emergency executive meeting held at the “Next Level Secretariat” of the party in Bauchi State. Garba told newsmen that 27 out of the 37 executives of the party passed a vote of no confidence in Misau during the meeting because he failed in his responsibilities as state chairman.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday alleged that the desire of some forces in the All Progressives Congress (APC) to destroy opposition political parties and democracy in Nigeria was a plot specifically to destabilise the PDP.
A top source explained that the APC, having seen the crisis generated by the revalidation of its membership, wants to pull down the house due to its raging internal crisis.
Also, the National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, has told journalists who met him in his office that âas you can see, there is no crisis in the PDP. It is just a plot of external forces to cause crisis or shout wolf when indeed there is no crisis.
