Dene Artist and contemporary Woodlands painter, John Rombough, has been painting for over 27 years. Having been adopted as a young child, Rombough was inspired to begin painting in his early 20s after reconnecting with his Chipewyan Dene birth father.
Police are asking for help finding two men, 74-year-old Alfred Catholique and 29-year-old Hugo Devost-Thomas, who were heading to Yellowknife from Ĺutselk'e by boat on Friday and were supposed to be back Saturday. Search and rescue teams were deployed.
Alfred Catholique, 74, and Hugo Devost-Thomas, 29, were reported missing after they failed to arrive in Yellowknife Saturday. Though hungry and cold, police say they are unharmed by the ordeal.
