The Made in Chelsea star, 35, took to Instagram on Thursday to speak out about the aftereffects of giving birth to her son Alfie Rivers, 18 months ago.
She gave birth to her first child, Alfie Rivers, in January.
And Ashley James, 33, wore a black bikini to take her beloved boy on his first swimming trip on Wednesday, admitting she had spent the whole morning worrying she wouldn t fit into her old swimwear after giving birth.
Documenting the trip on Instagram, Ashley wore a black bikini and urged other new mothers not to worry about getting their bodies out, reminding them that no one would be viewing their bodies negatively. Ashley James didn t know what to expect from motherhood.
The former Made In Chelsea star welcomed son Alfie Rivers into the world three months ago with her partner Tom Andrews and admitted she was initially nervous about becoming a mom because she didn t know if she could be maternal.
Reflecting on the three months so far, she wrote: What a ride it s been. I honestly didn t know what to expect with motherhood. I ve said it a lot but I wasn t maternal. Plus, people constantly tell you the negative things: enjoy your sleep whilst you can, enjoy your freedom etc . But this has been the most amazing 3 months. Motherhood is magical, tough, but magical.
