A 17-year-old arrested in murder investigation after teen s tragic death A 17-year-old from Leigh has been arrested on suspicion of murder after Essex Police launched a murder investigation into the death of Luke Bellfield. Essex Police made the arrest last night. They are no longer looking for Alfie Pollard. A 20-year-old woman from Westcliff was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. A 20-year-old man from Southend was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. A 17-year-old boy from Kent as arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and theft of a motor vehicle. All four remain in custody this morning.

Murder detectives are searching for a 17-year-old after a promising young boxer was stabbed to death in a targeted attack.
Luke Bellfield, 18, was stabbed through the heart while walking through an alleyway in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, on Friday evening.
He was rushed to hospital, but the teenager, who won gold at the Three Nations tournament aged 15, died shortly afterwards.
Essex Police are looking for Alfie Pollard , 17, in connection with the attack which the force describes as targeted .
Detectives have already arrested a 31-year-old man from Westcliff and a 19-year-old man from Rayleigh on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
