So now american cars which sold over 5 million in 1929 are down to 1. 5 million by 1932, and michigan, detroit, is in the Great Depression

Tonights debate, the first between president ial candidates in sixteen years and the first ever in which an incumbent president has participated, is taking place before an audience in the walnut street theater in philadelphia, just three blocks from independence hall.
