The top-seeded Lake Norman girls basketball team left no doubt in a 80-61 win over 16-seed Mallard Creek in the second round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association's 4A state playoffs. Mallard Creek is a stronger team than the 16-seed would lead you to believe. However, Lake Norman's fast, decisive, and chaotic play style proved to be too much.
