SUNY Potsdam art students featuring work at Remington Museum in Ogdensburg

Thursday, February 25, 2021 - 5:07 pm OGDENSBURG The artwork of SUNY Potsdam students is featured in a juried exhibit running Feb. 27 to March 28 at the Frederic Remington Art Museum. The Remington 2021 College Student Juried Art Exhibition contains the work of 11 SUNY Potsdam students. SUNY Plattsburgh, Clarkson University and St. Lawrence University students are also represented in the show, which features a virtual open reception on Saturday, Feb. 27 from 2 to 3 p.m. A Zoom invitation to the event can be obtained by emailing [email protected]. The paintings, photographs and sketches grapple with sober as well as natural themes. Whether it s the hue of an empty classroom, the color of a lost handkerchief held by a dog, the reflection of water in a Canton gorge or the cast of inchoate grief-blue and much of what it can mean mark the student work. But so does the hope in sunflowers.
