Bryan Alexis Cifuentes Rossell, who was arrested in connection with an assault at SoFi Stadium earlier this year that left a San Francisco 49ers fan in a medically-induced coma, pleaded not guilty Wednesday, claiming self-defense.
LOS ANGELES (AP) A San Francisco 49ers fan who suffered a traumatic brain injury after being punched during a confrontation at SoFi Stadium in January is out of a coma and back in the San Francisco Bay Area, his attorney and a family friend said Wednesday. A suspect was criminally charged earlier this month.
Part of the victim s skull had to be removed, and for now he must wear a helmet, after he was punched in the mouth and left comatose in a parking lot outside SoFi Stadium in California.
Authorities say a suspect was arrested in an altercation that badly injured a San Francisco 49ers fan in a parking lot outside SoFi Stadium during last weekend’s NFC championship game between the 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams. Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts Jr. says 33-year-old Bryan Alexis Cifuentes-Rossell was booked for investigation of assault and made bail early Friday. The mayor said the 49ers fan had to be put into a medically induced coma after he was punched, fell and struck his head on the ground. Messages seeking comment were left at phone numbers and an email address believed to be associated with Cifuentes-Rossell. They were not immediately returned
