THE province of Bulacan was placed under a state of calamity after most of its 24 municipalities and cities experienced severe flooding due to the southwest monsoon enhanced by Typhoon Egay .
A TOTAL of 14,407 Bulakenyos were forced to leave their homes and take shelter in various evacuation centers in the province after their respective houses were inundated by up to 5 feet of flood water brought about by Typhoon Egay since Thursday s heavy rains.
SEVERAL low-lying areas in Bulacan were flooded due to the torrential rains spawned by Typhoon Egay, affecting national and provincial roads and stranding hundreds of motorists.
