Fountains Hospital in Pleasington, Blackburn, where Dr Malik worked A MENTAL health doctor will have her fitness to practise determined at a hearing next week following a tribunal s decision to clear her of misconduct. Dr Ambreen Zahoor Malik, who was employed by CAS Behavioural Health Limited, formerly (known as Cambrian Healthcare Limited) as a consultant psychiatrist at Fountains Hospital in Blackburn, was brought before a medical tribunal last week after she was accused of telling a patient that he had received a certain medication when in fact he had been given an alternative. Dr Malik admitted that on July 20 2017 she gave Patient A , who suffered with schizophrenia and lacked the capacity to consent to treatment, the drug Zuclopenthixol Decanoate (ZD) instead of Risperidone, which he had requested after claiming he was suffering side effects from the ZD.
