As modal code of conduct is in force, the minister did not give any assurance of getting the corrections done in the admission guidelines, officers of Department of Higher Education (DHE) told minority college directors that immediately relief can’t be granted to them.
The guidelines state that, although the reservation policy will not be applicable to them, minority colleges still have to admit students keeping the ratio of “one minority student against one non-minority student” in mind.
Students seeking demission to minority colleges will have to register online during the first round of counselling by choosing seven colleges priority-wise. They will get seat allotment on the basis of marks in the qualifying exams.
