A years-long Czech investigation has revealed that two Russian spies who settled in the Czech Republic collected information for Russian intelligence that led to bombings and poisoning.

Russian secret services may have conducted secret operations trying to deter the possibility of conducting a military campaign against pro-Russian separatists in Donbass covered the Czech Republic and Bulgaria in 2014-2015. It appears to have been led by Russian military intelligence sabotage unit 29155 and included bombings in warehouses in Vrbetice in the Czech Republic in October 2014, the assassination attempt on businessman Emilian Gebrev and at least one of the bombings in military depots in Bulgaria between 2014 and mid-2015.
These are claims in joint investigation of the group “Bellingcat” together with the Russian edition of The Insider, the German magazine Der Spiegel and the Czech Respekt. It shows facsimiles of correspondence between EMCO and a Czech contractor regarding the armament of the Bulgarian company in the warehouse, which later exploded.
