they had spent the whole night at the hospital knowing that the husband was going to die. and when a medical room finally opened up for him to die in, instead of wheeling him straight there, she stopped at a beautiful location in the hospital with a big window because she knew it would be the patient s last sunrise. she waited and she let the couple embrace each other in front of that sunrise. the man ended up passing away in his wife s embrace. the things that nurses do, nobody should be deriding them and we should respect them as the heroes as well. wow that put a knot in my throat. compassion with a capital c. i m glad that you shared that with us alexandra robbins. thank you so much.

others have engaged in behavior similar to what we saw on the video from our former chapter at the university of oklahoma. reporter: sarah ganum, cnn, new york. of course, fraternityies and sororities behaving badly is nothing new. you guys up for a toga party? toga! toga! toga! toga! now, what we are seeing goes well beyond the lines of wild parties and beer guzzling. it s led some to question whether greek life no longer has a place on college campuses. joining me to talk about this brandon waycourse, associate executive director of communications for sigma alpha epsilon. we also have alexandra robbins, author of pledge, the secret life of sororities. this is obviously a really tough
you say they are individual behaviors but that really is the case in just about all the things that may have happened to the decades. it s not acceptable. it doesn t make it acceptable. but most people who have been part of or still are members realize there s a hot of good to come of it and really they have had a good experience that people out there do know the good things but they don t always get the exposure because of other things that get the headlines. what do you think, alexandra? you think this is an anomaly or is this the culture? there are an awful lot of exceptions if they are considering these exceptions. we see the same appalling headlines again and again year after year. sure fraternities and sororities say they are not acceptable and they aren t but they support an atmosphere conducive to these behaviors. what do you think are some of the solutions to solving some of these issues? some people have said greek life needs to be taken off of campus.
