Arkansas couple plead not guilty after toddler test positive for meth

Ryan Eberley and Alexandra Neel appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court on Thursday and entered not guilty pleas to charges related to their toddler son testing positive for methamphetamine. Eberley and Neel, both 27, face charges of introducing a controlled substance into the body of another and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. The Introduction of a controlled substance into the body of another charge is a Class Y felony punishable by 10-40 years or life in prison. Following their arrests, they were taken to the Baxter County Jail and held in lieu of $50,000 bonds. Both informed Circuit Court Judge John Putman that they would be seeking the services of the public defender. Both also have a previous conviction in Baxter County for methamphetamine possession, according to court records.
