Pope Francis made an eye-opening statement saying that couples who opt to have pets instead of children are selfish. According to the Pope, this decision contributes to decreasing birth rates and “takes away our humanity.” What the Pope seemingly fails to understand is that parenthood is a calling. Chances are, people are not going to.
“The Book of Boba Fett” has proven to be a riveting show since its premiere on Dec. 29. Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen reprise their respective roles from “The Mandalorian” as now crime lord Boba Fett and assassin Fennec Shand. Executive producers of “The Mandalorian,” Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, are also getting both old.

In March, DePaul’s game design program ranked 41st out of the Princeton Review’s top 50 ranked national undergraduate game design programs and 25th of all graduate programs.
“There are a lot of different components that go into making a video game. An engaging video game involves designing, programming, artistry and writing,” said Layla O’Malley, a sophomore game design major at DePaul University. DePaul’s recently ranked game design program appears to have many of the needed qualities for students to create successful games.
To ensure that a program like DePaul’s ranks highly, art, media and design professors like Brian Schrank emphasize that personal qualities in students help make the game design program so reputable.
Along with all the other holidays this year, this Valentine’s Day is going to be different. For a holiday all about being close to your loved ones – in a time when it’s dangerous to be close to people – how are people planning to spend it?
DePaul students are all gearing to celebrate it differently. Courtney Cobbs said that she is going to be delivering a gift to the person she is dating via bike. Alistair Merczak and their partner are getting tested for Covid-19, and – depending on the results – will either spend the day together watching movies or have a Zoom date.
