MOSCOW. March 15 (Interfax) - The Russian Defense Ministry plans to hold this year s Moscow Conference on International Security in June, Lieut. Gen. Alexander Kshimovsky, chief of the Defense Ministry s international military cooperation directorate, said in an interview with the ministry s official newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda. The 2021 Moscow Conference on International Security will take place in June. Active preparations for it are currently underway, Kshimovsky said.
The Russian Defense Ministry has held annual security conferences in Moscow since 2012.
A 2020 conference was cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic. It was to be attended by delegations from 115 countries, the ministry reported on March 11, 2020.
