Over 300 people attended and celebrated the first book launch and Lunar New Year party of Third State Books (TSB) and the Asian American Foundation (TAAF) in New York City. On Feb. 8, NextShark, in partnership with TSB and TAAF, launched the graphic novel “Fighting to Belong!” by renowned comic-book writer Amy Chu and her 20-year-old son, Alexander Chang.
TAAF, LAAUNCH and The Asian American Education Project launch Volume 1 of the new book, written by Amy Chu and Alexander Chang and illustrated by Louie Chin, that’s aimed at middle school kids to make AAPI history more accessible and provide curriculum support to educators, parents, and community groups.
