DETROIT – Single people who live alone have few options to interact with people throughout the coronavirus pandemic but there are small things people can do to feel better.
The pandemic has changed day-to-day life for everyone. Those who have been single throughout isolation said they’re facing their own set of challenges.
Justin Main is a 31-year-old nurse practitioner who feels he’s putting his love life on hold through the pandemic.
“I already give so much of myself to my job but definitely in the last year with COVID I’ve been even more involved, and so that makes it even harder because it’s very hard to find someone that understands that,” Main said.
A Morgantown, West Virginia, man was arrested Wednesday and charged with first-degree murder in the death of Alexa Randolph, 32, formerly of Fairchance
Gary Donald Smith II, 60, was arraigned before Magistrate Ron Bane and is being held without bail at the North Central Regional Jail, where he awaits his preliminary hearing. He is the paternal grandfather of Randolphâs 5-year-old son.
Authorities said the investigation revealed that Randolphâs vehicle, where she was discovered dead on Jan. 29, was dropped off at the Walmart located at 75 Retail Circle in Morgantown at approximately 8:52 p.m. on Jan. 28, and the suspect left on foot.

A 32-year-old West Virginia mother was found dead in the cargo area of her vehicle just one day after going missing.
Alexa Randolph s family and friends became worried after she could not be reached and her white 2018 Ford Escape could not be located last Thursday. She was last seen around 2:45 pm that day at her apartment in Morgantown.
On Friday (January 29), police found Randolph s car parked at a Walmart, and upon further investigation, they found her body inside. The Monongalia County Sheriff s Office released a statement, revealing that they re investigating Randolph s death as a homicide.
