Its the subject of tonights forum and also the title of rachel botsmans latest book on the subject. Im the director of Cambridge Forum, and were pleased to have rachel as our guest speaker tonight on the last stop of her nine week tour which rather begs the question of why is trust such a hot topic around the world at this point in history. It is a time when confidence in institutions and governments is at an alltime low, but when there has been a huge surge in the growth of shared Economy Companies like airbnb, tinder and uber. Statistics show that we are shifting our trust away from institutions toward individual or some would say strangers in areas as diverse as dating, banking to sharing rides or even hiring nannies.
