Snow warning to drivers after green-laners head to rescue stranded cars minutes after having Covid jab

Three off-road driving enthusiasts helped dig out people stranded in snow in temperatures of -4 degrees - with two of them just having had their Covid vaccines.
Photographer Alex Sartain from Deal had only just received a jab in Dover Health centre with friend Richard Manion who came across a post on a green lane driving site calling for help pulling a family out of deep snow in Folkestone.

The dates for the inquests of the men at the heart of a shooting in Upper Enham last year have been revealed. Councillor James Nash was shot on August 5 at his home in the village last year, and died three days later in Southampton General Hospital. The 42-year-old’s inquest will be held on April 19. The man suspected of shooting him, Alex Sartain, subsequently died in a motorbike crash on August 5 while being pursued by police officers. His inquest will be held on April 21. He failed to stop for officers, and subsequently crashed on the A343. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Thirty-year-old Lucy-Anne Rushton was forced to swallow her wedding ring before she was violently killed by “jealous and controlling” Shaun Dyson, at her house in Suffolk Road on Sunday, June 23, 2019. Dyson, of Anna Valley, was sentenced to a minimum of 17 years in prison, with the judge condemning him for the “violent and brutal” attack on his former partner. Lucy’s mother Myra Simpson said: “We are the ones living the life sentence, not him.”
It s fair to say that police have had their work cut out this year. From enforcing Covid regulations during lockdown to the usual day-to-day operations, 2020 has been a year that everyone will remember for some time to come.
