Seahawks 2021 Free Agent Targets Per Team: AFC North

Seahawks 2021 Free Agent Targets Per Team: AFC North Previewing which free agents from the Steelers, Ravens, Browns, and Bengals the Seahawks could target this offseason. Author: Feb 18, 2021 The AFC North was one of the strongest divisions in 2020, producing three of the conference’s seven playoff teams. Though none reached the AFC championship game, the future certainly appears to be bright especially for the Browns and Ravens. The division could take a slight hit this offseason, however, as all four teams boast deep free agent pools rich with some of the best talent in the league. Which of these players could appeal to the Seahawks over the coming months? Let’s take a look.

Hobson s Choice: Feeling A Draft

Running back Joe Mixon looking to spring into action with that other Joe. Hi Geoff! I am already excited for next season, both for the games and Hobson s Choice. My question is about our free agents. Seems like we have a lot of them this year. Who do we bring back, who do we need the most and who do we miss? David Kroeger, Houston, TX DAVID: Thank you checking in. I agree with Dave Lapham and Dan Hoard on this. If there is one guy they need back, it is edge rusher Carl Lawson. And I d love to also re-sign cornerback William Jackson III. Both are the top free agents at their positions, according to Pro Football Focus top 100, which makes you think the Bengals are doing something right on the personnel side.

Cincinnati Bengals Week 17 inactives versus Baltimore Ravens

Darius Phillips (23) has been making plays all month. The Bengals defense has been fighting injuries and illness all year and Sunday s finale at Paul Brown Stadium against the Ravens turned out to be no different when they lost two starters before kickoff. The loss of defensive tackle Mike Daniels to COVID-related reasons and slot cornerback Mackensie Alexander to illness left them without their three best defensive tackles and three top cornerbacks to face  Baltimore s No. 1 rush defense operated by reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson. During the offseason the Bengals overhauled their defense by committing about $120 million to signing such free agents as Alexander and Daniels. Their two major signings, cornerback Trae Waynes and defensive tackle D.J. Reader, played a combined five games. Waynes was never able to get on the practice field with a pectoral injury and Reader went down in the fifth week with a torn quad.
