if everybody thought more like elizabeth warren, this world would be a little better. thank you so much. very impressive today. thank you. best of luck. thank you. ana, ending the day, speaking with student organizers, a lot of hope, a lot of optimism going forward. alex mar quart in boston. let s listen to those in l.a. this is laura dern. i m in seventh grade. there have been 18 school shootings in the united states since the beginning of 2018. school shootings. school shootings. those two words should have nothing in common. did you know that they re already stationary and roving metal detectors in a majority of public schools in los angeles. of the 18 tragedies, more than 80% of the weapons used were obtained legally. so why does congress think fixing technology in schools will help? should teachers and students be prepared for more gun violence. i don t want to go to school
it s a very vulnerable community south of the lake. they are vulnerable to not only the storm itself but possibly to the levies failing on the lake and inunidating their towns with water, so they had to mount an escape or an evacuation where they went to shelters or evacuation centers in the towns and then they were bussed 40 or 50 miles away. difficult to do. a rural immigrant creole speaking a rucultural community. for the most part people are listening to those orders. but a lot of people are staying. we did see a lot of gas stations tonight tat are open. no lines, there is gas. so clearly most people have left but there is still a pretty hard core contingent that s still here. i need to go to alex mar quart. appreciate you joining us.
