Logan finished 3-2 in the state tourney and had beaten Barboursville, 8-1, earlier in the evening to advance to the finals. Jefferson County (4-0) was in the driver’s seat and Logan was hoping to force a winner-take-all final on Thursday while playing its second game on the night. It didn’t happen as Jefferson County wrapped up the state title and advanced to the upcoming Southeast Regionals at Warner Robins, Georgia.
