The best thing you can say about this game is that Michigan won. There was little else here to be happy about. Michigan led KenPom #205 Tarleton State, maybe the worst team on this season's schedule, by just three points with four minutes at home. If you got creeping NJIT vibes, I would not blame you. Michigan missed 17 field goals in the game. They committed 22 turnovers. The sloppiness from the Wolverines was worthy of an appearance on The Real Housewives. At some point during the game, your author felt no choice but to begin asking the difficult questions:
So what was this team doing in practice in the month of October? Alex Drain (@Alex Drain) November 25, 2021
This basketball team is simply not very good right now despite the talent, and they need a lot of work from Juwan Howard and his staff to get to where they want to be. Luckily, Michigan now has seven days off to hit the gym (something they didn't get before this game, perhaps the only saving grace) before head

In case you’re sick of hearing about hate lately.
Formation Notes: Michigan too had a version of their Nickel Over with a 4i-tech (Hutchinson), which I called Nickel Over 4i.
Michigan had a 404 Tite front with their Nickel personnel at times, and also went to a 46 Bear.
Also I added a new offensive play to our list called “TaTa Time,” which is when Taulia Tagovailoa starts running around with no plan whatsoever. Once again, if you ever find yourself recruiting against Maryland, I highly recommend sending the kid’s coach a copy of this game.
Substitution Notes: Snap counts! There were 68 plays before the backups went in though. Hutchinson and Ojabo had most of them, Jeter had as many snaps as Hinton. Ross was pulled at times for Colson/Barrett or NHG/Barrett. Starting corners/Dax went all the way to garbage time. At safety Moore got the start again, and Hawkins left after five snaps, replaced by Moten.
On with the show!

The week before the Ohio State game has always been a strange one for Michigan football in the Jim Harbaugh era. Some years, like 2015 and 2019, it saw the Wolverines riding high after beating a solid opponent on the road. Other years, like 2016 and 2018, it's seen rather tight performances against inferior foes in which Michigan stuck to their base plan and gave the fanbase rather bad vibes. In between those two poles was 2017, where Michigan hung with (but lost to) an excellent Wisconsin team and in the process watched their starting QB lie broken like a crumpled piece of paper on the cold Madison grass.
2021's installment seemed to bounce around at different portions of the game, bad vibes for stretches in the first and third quarters, only then to be replaced by feelings of euphoria that felt more like 2019, made possible by the shambles that is the Maryland Terrapins defense. In the end, it wasn't remotely close in any category but yardage, and Michigan was able t
